Raffle
Quilt 2005
| Annually,
members make a raffle quilt and sell tickets for $1.00. The
drawing is held in November where the winning ticket is drawn at
a Chapter meeting on odd-numbered years, and the Night Chapter meeting
on even-numbered years. The proceeds from the sale of tickets
go to the Quilt Educational Fund. |
We are currently constructing the next raffle quilt.

Spring Fling
A Spring Fling is held every spring. This event is open
to members and usually consists of demonstrations and classes. |

Community
Service
TQG has
a long history of service to the Hampton Roads community. Quilt
donation projects include: Candii House, Battered Women's Shelters, and
CHKD. The TQG supports the local Linus Project Chapter.

Project Workshops:

workshops bring your basic sewing kit, mat, rotary cutter and sewing
machine. |
All workshops start at 10:00 a.m.

Quilts
of Valor are quilts for returning wounded service members.
To date the quild has donated 431 quilts. The Quilt of Valor group
has a donation jar at the sign in table at each meeting for those
who wish to donate money for batting, labels and shipping.

Fall Festival
The year that a quilt show is not held, a Fall Festival is
held for all members. The Fall Festival is one event that usually
includes demonstrations and classes.

TQG Quilt Show
The Guild holds a quilt show every other year. The next show is
scheduled for October 6-8, 2006.
